Otters & Butterflies

Comment: Buckfast Butterflies and Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary offers a great, enjoyable, educational experience. Wander around the butterfly farm and see new butterflies emerge in tropical surroundings. There are also Otters, Birds, Ants, and Terrapins to have a look at.

Stonehurst Family Farm and Museum

Comment: The farm has a wide range of animals all available to be stroked and handled by children. Ranging from its 100+ collection of Guinea Pigs and Rabbit in the small animal farm , to its Pot Bellied Pigs roaming free around the main farm. The farm also has horses , donkeys , chickens , goats , sheep , cows , and many more animals all to be seen on a real working farm.

Mole Hall Wildlife Park

Comment: Mole Hall Wildlife Park is conveniently situated in the village of Widdington, which is near Newport and Saffron Walden. The collection of animals and birds contains many exotic species including otters, primates including chimpanzees, owls, Arctic foxes, birds and many more.

Marwell Zoological Park

Comment: Here you will find information about the work of Marwell both in the breeding of species in our 40 hectare site in Hampshire, United Kingdom, and various conservation work around the world. The Zoo provides facilities for breeding many endangered species, especially ungulates (antelopes), felids (cats) and primates.

Tannaghmore Farm

Comment: Situated beside Craigavon Lakes, Tannaghmore Animal Farm offers close encounters with many animals. These include cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and poultry traditionally found on farms in Ulster 100 years ago. Many of these breeds are now rare and close to extinction.

Deen City Farm

Comment: They use 5 acres of land in the London Borough of Merton which is run as a community farm. They are an educational resource to show the local community the basics of a working farm. Deen City Farm provide a green oasis for people living in Greater London. They also offer riding facilities for the disabled and are a member of the RDA.

Drusillas Park

Comment: Widely regarded as the Best Small Zoo in the Country, Drusillas has earnt its reputation by creating an animal and child friendly family environment where the accent is always on involvement. It is located amidst the stunning scenery of the Cuckmere Valley at Alfriston, East Sussex.

Folly Farm

Comment: Folly Farm is one of the largest family attractions in Wales, situated in the heart of Pembrokeshire. The farm offers a wide range of high quality attractions, that appeal to all age groups. It prides itself as one of the countrysides most exciting all weather day out.

Miniature World

Comment: Miniature World is an exciting and unique venture situated at East Layton, 3 miles west of Scotch Corner just off the A66. As our name suggests the animals here are 'miniature' which enables all children to relate to them a lot easier. A hands on approach is encouraged as the animals are very tame.
