63% Of Women Unprepared Financially
New research shows that 63 per cent of women are not prepared financially and spend less time researching and buying finance products than men.
Scottish Widows claims that its study shows that men and women have different attitudes towards planning, with women only spending less than 15 minutes each week reviewing their finances.
The research was conducted as part of Scottish Widows' campaign to get Britons better prepared and to find out the attitudes of women and men towards planning.
Despite the differences in financial planning, in which only half of men said they were unprepared, women were found to be better prepared for business.
It also suggests that women are spending more time doing things, such as decorating, that used to be devoted solely to men, which could mean that they are also taking on more pressure.
However, when it comes to finances, women appear to still prefer to leave that to partners despite taking on men in other aspects of preparation.
