Barclay's Home Insurance has launched a new price challenge – promising to match any customer's existing home insurance quote.

In addition, Barclay's say they will give customers an extra £25 if they switch providers to Barclay's.

Consumers are urged to go into their nearest Barclay's branch for a quote before Friday 4 November to take advantage of the deal.

The insurer believes that its policy will be cheaper in six out of ten cases.

In cases where a customer's existing policy is cheaper, Barclay's will offer a £25 voucher which can be spent in a number of high street stores, including Boots and House of Fraser.
