Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton announces pregnancy

Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton has announced that she is expected her first child with boyfriend Jesse Wood.

The 30-year-old made the announcement initially on her official blog and then took to Twitter to tell her millions of followers of the good news.

Cotton said that she and Wood were "very happy" with at the prospect.

The DJ, who presents the late morning show on Radio 1 between 10:00 am to 12:45 pm, did not reveal how far along she is.

A number of her celebrity friends also took to the social networking site to congratulate the expectant mother including Ellie Goulding and fellow DJs Greg James and Nick Grimshaw.

Cotton is a regular panellist on Celebrity Juice and the show's host Keith Lemon also tweeted his happiness at the news, posting: "I am so happy for you Fearne. Honestly. Greatest news ever. Can't wait to see your milk trucks. Love Keith x."
