'Guru' offers dating programme for men

A dating guru from the Netherlands announced this week that he is launching a special new mentoring programme designed to help men get the most out of online dating.

Dennis Miedama notes the "unfortunate" state of affairs which means most single men are more comfortable meeting women in a bar than they are through the medium of the internet.

He notes that with the right guidance, men who use online dating sites can actually improve their chances of meeting the woman of their dreams by up to 20 times.

As a result, he has decided to devise an eight-week course, entitled 'Win with Women', which is borne out of his own five years "unsuccessfully slaving away in the trenches of online dating".

Mr Miedama spent some time studying the dating emails sent by men to his sister and noticed a number of pitfalls, most of which he had fallen into in his own pursuit of love.

Firstly, he points out that leaving the subject line blank is a major error, particularly as most women who are members of dating sites are likely to be receiving plenty of emails.

In addition, common pick-up lines are used too often, which would again see their messages treated as spam, thus creating a situation which is a waste of time for both parties.

Other, smaller problems include only creating one profile on one dating site or not using spell-check in emails, which does not help to make a good impression on a potential match.

Indeed, Mr Miedama believes there are actually eight main mistakes made by men which prevent them having a successful online dating experience, all of which are covered in the course.

The activities include practical applications, addressing mindsets and attempting to change beliefs, while also offering assistance on constructing attractive emails and online profiles.

And although the expert offers one-on-one coaching and mentoring, he has explained that the programme provides a much better alternative than attempting to use it in an e-book structure.

"By explaining everything in a step-by-step, start-to-finish manner that spreads all the goodies across eight weeks, you can go all-out and in-depth with every training, drop the biggest anchor you can find, firmly hook that puppy into your unconscious mind, have fun and play around with it a bit," he said.
