STAND

A group of volunteers who originally came together in 1998 in a vain attempt to fix the worst aspects of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act. Backed up by a list of over 3000 supporters, STAND disseminate information and motivate the interested about issues around privacy and censorship, particularly with respect to the Internet. A human rights group formed in 1990 as a watchdog on surveillance by governments and corporations. This is a worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote internationally recognized human rights. Amnesty International has more than a million members and supporters in over 140 countries and territories. Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND)

This organisation campaigns non-violently to rid the world of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction and to create genuine security for future generations.
