New Hall Vineyards

Comment: This 36-hectare English Vineyard is one of the oldest and largest English Wine Producer in the Country and was first established in Essex by the Greenwood family in the village of Purleigh in 1969. The vines grown at New Hall have been planted between 12m to 24m above sea level on well-sheltered southern facing slopes of a shallow valley.

Lurgashall Winery

Comment: An award-winning complex of 17th and 18th century barns, nestling at the foot of Blackdown, in the peaceful Sussex countryside. Its unique range of Country Wines, Mead and Liqueurs is produced to the highest standards, in keeping with their aim of "blending tradition with technology" and offers a true "taste" of England.

Bow in the Cloud Vineyard

Comment: This vineyard situated in Wiltshire was planted in 1992 and 1993 and has been producing wine for corporate customers and local trade since 1995. It comprises 4.6 acres but so far only 3 have been planted - one acre of Bacchus, one of Seyval Blanc and one of Schönburger. At Bow-in-the-Cloud Vineyard the wines produced aspire to being sociable and interesting.

Purbeck Vineyard, The

Comment: Situated close to historic Corfe Castle, the vineyard is on a south facing slope, and protected by the Purbeck Hills from the prevailing south westerly winds. A recently constructed winery has been built to produce a range of both red and white wines, including Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Bearsted Vineyard

Comment: Located in Maidstone, Kent. The high quality of their wines has been recognised by the award of several cups and medals over recent years. All the wines are vinified in their own winery. White varietal wines and blends are made, mostly in dry and medium-dry styles. Unusually for an English vineyard they also make a very popular, soft, lightly oaked red.

Llanerch Vineyard

Comment: Set in the Vale of Glamorgan, an area of beautiful scenery, lovely villages and bustling market towns. Llanerch is currently one of the largest commercial vineyards in Wales producing estate-bottled wines. These are marketed under the Cariad label.

Mount Ephraim Gardens

Comment: Situated in Kent in the heart of an 800-acre estate comprising the house and gardens, a progressive fruit farm, woodland and grazing. A small vineyard planted with Muller Thurgau and Reichensteiner grapes produces a good quality white wine.

Sharpham Estate

Comment: Situated above the winding River Dart, a few miles from Totnes. The 500-acre Estate comprises vineyards, woodlands and several farms. Traditional and new world techniques are employed resulting in a range of distinctive and carefully balanced wines so popular that they are now exported regularly.

Comment: Located in Gloucestershire, they have something for everyone. Whether you're a wine expert or a novice, or just like to visit beautiful, tranquil places. If you cannot make it to the vineyard you can purchase their range of wines online. You can combine your trip to the vineyard with a meal at their restaurant or stay for the weekend in their guest rooms.

Harbourne Vineyard

Comment: Planted in 1979 in an area of south East England that was noted in Roman times for the quality of its wines. At Harbourne Vineyard only hand picked and manual basket presses are used and traditional methods are employed throughout the grape growing and winemaking processes.
