J League

Comment: The official site of the Japan Professional Football League whose inaugural season was in 1993. Site contents include history, Divisions 1 & 2 Clubs, results, statistics, sponsors, merchandising, organisation, guidlines, membership, affiliated companies and mission statement.

Northern Irish League

Comment: The official site of the Irish Football League providing news, results, fixtures, statistics, clubs, the Irish Football League Directory of staff, officials and committee members and a weekly newsletter for you to download with the option to download past issues.

FA County Youth Cup

Comment: Was launched in 1944-45 by The Football Association to provide representative football for the best young players who had not signed up with professional clubs. Nowadays, any player under written contract, including Trainee/Scholarship players, or those registered at Academies or Centres of Excellence, is not eligible to compete in the competition.

UEFA Euro 2000 Belgium - The Netherlands

Comment: The official site of EURO 2000T. The 16 competing nations turned on the style, playing with a spirit of adventure that led to a record 85 goals in 31 matches. France won the tournament but, with the Lowlands playing host to matches packed with high drama, there was so much to celebrate for fans of all the countries.

FA Vase

Comment: Professionals were paid by clubs who entered either the F.A. Cup or the F.A.Trophy. Amateurs had their own cup competition, the F.A. Amateur Cup. In 1974, with many of the top amateur players receiving payment for playing, The F.A. abolished the distinction, scrapped the Amateur Cup and introduced the F.A. Vase for the majority of clubs who had previously played in the Amateur Cup.

FA Womens Club

Comment: The Women's F.A. Cup was launched in 1993-94 but women already had their own knockout competition in the shape of the Mitre Trophy, introduced in 1970-71 and run by the Women's Football Association (WFA). In 1993, The F.A. took over from the WFA the responsibility for the organisation and the administration of the women's game and it leagues and competitions.

Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) CUP

Comment: The Cosafa Castle Cup was launched in 1997 and very quickly become one of the most exciting competitions on the African soccer calendar. The annual tournament is played for by members of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations and has rapidly risen into a de-facto regional championship for the countries south of the Congo River.

FA Community Shield, The

Comment: The Charity Shield fixture evolved from the Sheriff of London Shield and between 1908 and 1928 it featured the League Champions and the Southern League Champions, or a select team of amateurs against a select team of professionals. From 1974-2000, the then F.A. Charity Shield was played at Wembley. In 2001 the match was held at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Comment: The Yau Yee League - Hong Kong's premier amateur football league since 1977.
