David Eyre, the gastro-pub pioneer, has opened this 100-seat restaurant on what's fast becoming Shoreditch's gastro-row. Sit in expensive looking chairs surrounded by lovely dark, sleek woods. The kitchen has significantly evolved from its rough & ready origins. Relax with a good selection of wine at the 30-foot bar and examine the mouthwatering menu. And what a mouthwatering menu this is! Spanish black foot charcuterie, rare beef fillet salad with tarragon and capers, grilled Mozambique prawns piri piri, grilled leg of lamb, rosemary and garlic, caponata and oven potatoes. Portuguese pork and white bean stew, Tyras-os-Montes style.
