Restaurant Description
The recently-refurbished Weng Wah House has been a hit with locals for some time now, with its gigantic menu of traditional Chinese dishes balanced by lightly Westernised offerings that use more adventurous ingredients like mussels and asparagus. The place is largish, and a good thing, too, considering what the queues would be like if it weren't. There is a
tremendously good value set menu at lunch and dinner, and the menu's 'signature dishes' change every month. Try the Yin-Yang Dover sole, cooked two ways, or the chicken fillets with asoaragus in spicy xo-sauce, or the veggie feast, if you're so inclined. There are karaoke nights in the upstairs dining room hosted by Vincent 'Elvis' Phung singing those timeless hits 'Jailhouse Wok' and 'Shake Rattle and Spring Roll'. The service is spiffy and the wine list very good.
