Melati Restaurant is just a hop, skip and jump from Piccadilly Circus, and offers three floors of flavours from the mystic far East. Unpretentious and kid-friendly, visitors can select from a grand menu of authentic Indonesian, Malaysian and Singaporean dining. Favorite (and top-selling) dishes include giant bowls of Singapore laksa, a creamy coconut soup with rice, noodles and seafood, and rending padang, a heavily spicy beef curry. Set menu options are available for parties of 10 or more. With generations of families coming here, it's easy to see how this has become a Soho institution.
