Talk about a double-whammy. The luxurious Zetter is not only a destination hotel but a destination restaurant. It's the ground floor of the hip five-storey Victorian warehouse conversion that's been transformed into a beautiful, breezy space with a curving black bar and giant sash windows overlooking historic cobbled St John's Square where guests and the creative locals eat in summer. Diego Jacquet (who's cooked at El Bulli and Manhattan's Acquavit) serves a sensational - the garlic roast prawns and chorizo starter flies out of his kitchen - modern Mediterranean menu that's worth every bit of the reasonable prices charged. The Atrium bar provides a stylish sanctuary for drinkers, with comfortable retro-style furnishings whilst sipping innovative and eclectic cocktails. The Zetter was voted the winner of the Best Small Hotel in London by VisitLondon, 2006.
