CRU Restaurant

Hoxton's warehouse-like CRU is a chilled, hip, open-plan yet cosy space where nattily-dressed creatives, local celebrities and the music and art industry crowd hang out on walnut furniture. Great displays by local artists are regularly shown here as part of an ongoing programme with CRU. A down-to-earth modern Mediterranean menu offers calamari through to an organic beef burger, fish stew and risotto. But the wine's the thing - they love it here, and genuinely want you to too. Lots sold by the glass; most from smaller producers and lesser-known regions to keep prices down. All excellent. A hugely likeable place.
