A restaurant that's still winning awards after 30 years must be doing something right. Part of (but not owned by) the Holiday Inn in Glasgow's Theatreland, La Bonne Auberge epitomises the smart French Mediterranean brasserie with its brick work, wrought iron, black boards and waiters in French black waistcoats and white aprons. The food is both good quality and affordable; a lot of Scotch beef and rib-eye steak is sold. The AA liked it so much that they've awarded executive chef Gerry Sharkey a rosette. Families, tourists, hotel guests and business people are among the usual, buzzy crowd. La Bonne Auberge opens daily from 7am for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
