Aubaine was started by a pang of homesickness - its founder, upon relocation to London from Paris, couldn't find the bread he liked, so decided to start a boulangerie which would make it. You'll be enticed in by the smell of baking, seated on French country furniture, surrounded by fresh flowers and provided a newspaper in true contintental café stlye before sampling the delights of Aubaine's brasserie-cum-bistro, which bursts in to life as soon as the boulangers and pattisers take a break. A restaurant designed to be an extension of the home, all the usual French favourites are on offer, served with a smile on distinctive white crockery and always accompanied, of course, by fresh, crusty bread.
