Bayee House restaurant is some people's favourite Chinese restaurant in all of Greater London - and that includes the big names in Chinatown. Bayee House restaurant is a light, modern space with blond wood tables and chairs, well-lit artifacts tucked into decorative niches, with artfully-arranged flowers softening the effect. The authentic regional cooking brings the best of classic Peking cuisine and fiery Szechuan cooking to the table, with a particular focus on fish. Lobster is the house specialty, but everything that swims seems to show up on the menu, including English oysters. Try starter of steamed fresh scallops in the shell with black bean sauce, main course of fresh lobster stir-fried with chilli and garlic salt. Meat-eaters and vegetarians are also well-accommodated. Service is right on the money.
