Jour et Nuit restaurant in Midtown New York is the new and exciting incarnation of this important space at 8 W 58th. This interpretation of a classic French bistro fits perfectly into a supersmart part of town, with new cherrywood floors and paneling, blue velvet banquette and creamy walls with collage-like murals, though there's a very chilled lounge area with dj and bar too, all courtesy of hip designer twins Derek and Daniel Koch. The menu offers trad bistro fare like Croque Monsieur, but specialties of the house include tuna tartare, braised short ribs and light seafood linguine. The crowd is international and stylish and a horde of bankers populate the long bar after work, starting the evening with a roar.
Booking Tip: Please try to make your New York booking at least 48 hours in advance.
