Overlooking Wanstead's beautiful green, Hadley House prides itself on its 'village and family appeal'. The restaurant is a favourite with locals, and for good reason; the delicious British and European cuisine is complimented by the welcoming and friendly staff, and the relaxed ambience. The minimalist décor, with a chocolate and cream palette and wooden floor throughout, means there are no distractions from what you are there to do: eat good food. At lunchtime, the laidback atmosphere is family- and child-friendly, whilst in the evenings Hadley House becomes more of a romantic and sophisticated dinner destination. We love the Lamb neck fillet with English goats cheese mash and a shallot tatin; and the Pan-fried scallops with rosti potato and pan-fried chorizo.
