The Bountiful Cow in London's Holborn area is one generous beast. Formerly a regular sort of pub, it has been acquired by Roxy Beaujolais of The Seven Stars and led into the twenty-first century with bright décor, witty bovine-themed antique ads and film posters, quality beers, great wines, and a young, relaxed ambience. You may dine in the upper bar level with its seventies-style red banquettes, or the lower level where the kitchen is visible through glass for your entertainment. Either way, you'll find a short menu of well-hung, beef-based items of the steak and burger variety, garnished with green salad and bearnaise. Have chips on the side and be content. Biggie & Sugie, the pub's beautiful and friendly Bengal cats, are also on hand to add to the cosy atmosphere. An excellent jazz trio on Saturday nights is on offer from 8:30pm - 11:30pm, complete with free entry.
Average Price per person: £25 - £34
