Hoxton's Bacchus is bound to be pretty damn trendy just by virtue of its location. Add to that a damn fine interior and an emphasis on modern cooking techniques brought to you by much talked about Nuno Mendes and you've got a restaurant that has had the most important food pages in raptures. Inspired by the likes of Blumenthal and Adria, Mendes has created a casual take on experimental fine dining so you might find Red Mullet accompanied by Liqourice Toast or the much talked of Blue Cheese Ice Cream. The accompanying interior is uber-modern meets reclaimed-chic, a perfect bright and airy escape from the hackneyed battered sofa art bars of the area.
