Gilby's, located close to Cardiff on the edge of the Vale of Glamorgan, is a charming restaurant set in a converted historical building surrounded by countryside that is picturesque all year round. The menu features hearty British fare with a contemporary twist - we love the peppered honey glazed Gressingham duck breast with bubble & squeak, poached chestnuts, wild mushrooms and redcurrant sauce; the baked whole sea bass stuffed with citrus fruits and seasonal herbs; and the Gilby's special hot seafood platter for two with whole lobster, jumbo crevettes, oysters, scallops with foaming parsley butter, a bowl of moules mariniere and two glasses of champagne.
