Visconti restaurant in the heart of Paris' Saint-Germain-des-Prés is so much a family-run Italian establishment that you will find members of the Franceschelli family everywhere, from the kitchen to the front of house and everywhere in between. Originally from the village of Capracotta in the Apennine hills, the family offers authentic, refined Italian cuisine du terroir using the freshest ingredients with cheeses, charcuterie and wines imported from the old country. Desserts are all made in Visconti's own kitchen. The dining rooms are cosy and smart, with wooden floors, antique paintings, dark wood tables and comfortable upholstered chairs that invite you to linger. The service is thoughtful and the ambience full of Italian warmth.
