L'Autobus Imperial restaurant in Paris' historic Les Halles quarter is a beautiful Art Nouveau restaurant and tearoom that's been around since art nouveau was, well, nouveau, though not with this name. Light pours in through the oval glazed ceiling into the a haven of calm and elegance, with figured carpets, upholstered seating, gilt mirrors with swirling frames peopled with loyal locals, savvy tourists and waiters padding by. Chef Michel Vico offers a refined, traditional menu with dishes like salt-roasted scallops with porcini mushrooms, thyme-roasted seabream, and superb desserts - there is also a tearoom, a salon with wifi and newspapers.
