With an unassuming neon shop front on Renfield Street in Glasgow, some might mistake Charcoals for an Indian takeaway; but locals in the know will tell you this is the place to come for some of the best curries in town. Venture past Charcoals' takeaway desk and you will find a colourful brasserie-style restaurant with salmon pink feature walls and fresh flowers filled with a lively crowd. Popular dishes here include the butterflied king prawns marinated in spices and garlic butter; the classic Chicken Tikka Masala which is a house favourite; and the Chapal Kebab Kabuli - grilled lamb ground with spices, onions, lemon and coriander. Charcoals also serves a selection of pizzas, kebabs, and fish and chips.
