Bonnefanten Museum is a great tourist attraction for visitors to Maastricht. Located on Ceramique Avenue, this cool riverside museum gives masterclasses over two floors. The Old Masters and medieval sculpture is on one floor, while contemporary art and intriguing installations by Limburg artists are on the other.
To the south of the city is the hill of St Pietersberg, which features an old fort and network of caves. The caves maintain a constant temperature of ten degrees C and are a hibernation place for bats.
