Mexico is hoping to convince more people in South East Asia to travel to the Central American country.
Resorts like Cancun have already become popular with foreign visitors, but
Mexico is now looking to cast its net wider.
Having already visited China, Horacio Gonzalez Pardo, tourism minister for the state of Jalisco, is now in South Korea.
"The purpose of travelling [to Jalisco] is to encounter the country's culture, including architecture and food," he told the Korean Herald.
"But the most important thing is to learn about the people of the nation, and Jalisco is the place where you can meet them in a traditional Mexican setting."
Tourism provides a welcome boost to the Mexican economy with some areas almost completely reliant on trade with foreign visitors.
