Virgin Atlantic Launch New In-Flight Journal

Virgin Atlantic has announced to the launch of a new in-flight journal for its first and business class passengers, it has been announced.

The Travel Notes journal, which is published by the same people who produce Virgin Atlantic's existing Carlos in-flight magazine, will be available to passengers in the Clubhouse suites at Heathrow and Gatwick airports in London.

The journal is set to feature a variety of travel articles written by prominent travel journalists, as well as destination guides and interviews with famous travel-lovers.

Commenting on the decision to launch a publication aimed at the more discerning traveller, Virgin Atlantic's head of media Lysette Gauna said passengers were demanding a better quality magazine that they would want to keep.

"Our aim was to create an interactive and collectable piece of print, something that went beyond the passive consumption that the traditional in-flight publication offers," she said.

The journal is due to become available to the select number of passengers from early October, the airline says.
