Why Visit Eastbourne?
Unlike nearby Brighton, Eastbourne's beaches are largely undeveloped giving those seeking a less-commercial break the chance to enjoy the British seaside in a more peaceful context.
Furthermore, there are some beautiful sights in Eastbourne; Beachy Head is 162 m tall and the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain. Its famous red and white lighthouse is positioned at the cliff foot and the summit offering wonderful views out across the ocean.
The Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Haven park is also nearby and served by a local bus route. Here visitors can enjoy a cycle hire service and several different rambling routes. It is local eight km west of the town.
Eastbourne Observatory Science Centre offers holidaymakers a slightly more education aspect to their visit, with hands-on science displays and a discovery park for kids enjoy.
